Terms of Service

The agreement covering the hosted Sidekick service. The open-source version is governed by its licence instead.

Last updated 7 August 2026

Who you are agreeing with

Framesleuth Sidekick is operated by The Stack Hub. Using the hosted service means you accept these terms. If you use the open-source version on your own machine, these terms do not apply to you — its licence does.

What you get

  • Access to the Sidekick extension and the hosted backend that powers it.
  • A daily request allowance set by your plan, resetting at 00:00 UTC.
  • Best-effort availability. This is a small operation, not a service with an uptime guarantee.

What we ask of you

  • One account per person. Do not share credentials.
  • Do not use Sidekick to break the law, or to generate content that harasses, deceives or infringes someone else's rights.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent your allowance, or to resell access.
  • You are responsible for the content you put into it, and for having the right to do so.

The results

Sidekick produces text with a language model. It can be wrong, and it is yours to check before you send it. Nothing it writes is advice — legal, medical, financial or otherwise. You own what you produce; we claim no rights over it.

Payment and cancellation

  • Subscriptions bill in advance for the period shown at checkout.
  • Cancel at any time. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for; we do not pro-rate a partial month.
  • Prices can change. Existing subscribers get notice before a change affects them.

Ending it

You can stop using Sidekick and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will say why. If we discontinue the hosted service we will give notice and refund any unused prepaid period.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
